From December 2006 through August 2008 the Bank raised three syndicated loans for a total of USD850 million;

In June 2008 and in April 2009 the Bank raised bilateral loans from Intesa Sanpaolo SpA for USD50 million and EURO25 million respectively;

In December 2007, the Bank finalized the registration of its USD3.5 billion EMTN program. Lead managers were Goldman Sachs International and Citigroup Global Markets Ltd. Listing took place on the LSE.

The EDB made two issues, in April and July of 2009, of international bonds with a maturity of 5 years for a total of 20 billion Kazakh tenge, equivalent to USD34 million.

In September 2009, EDB successfully placed Eurobonds for a total of USD500 million with a maturity of 5 years. The yield to maturity for the issuance was set at 7.375% per annum, the lowest yield among CIS issuers for the last 12 months.

In October 2009, EDB registered four issues of bonds for a total of 20 billion Russian rubles (equivalent to USD670 million) and in November 2009, the Bank placed 1st tranche of its ruble-denominated bonds for a total of 5 billion Russian rubles, equivalent to USD166 million.
