Treasury
With the objective of ensuring effective liquidity management in financial markets, the Bank has implemented an Investment Declaration that defines its investment policy for the formation and management of its treasury portfolio and sets limits for different types of assets and geographic/industry concentrations. In addition, the Assets and Liabilities’ Management Committee meets on a regular basis in order to discuss and make routine and operational decisions concerning the investment strategy.
The EDB implements a rational policy of investment risk management based on sectoral and geographical diversification of investments. In order to avoid an undesirable concentration of risks, assets are dispersed among various investment grades, counties, branches, companies, etc. The reliability of the instrument (issue) and the liquidity of the instrument are considered in the process of selecting the instrument.
