Research Project «EDB Eurasian Integration Index»
The project foresees the development of a framework, which will comprise 40 to 50 quantitative and qualitative indicators for all facets of regional integration: economy, politics, social interaction, migration, education etc. Such systems of indicators were earlier employed to measure European, Latin American, and African regional integration. Meanwhile, completing the EDB Eurasian Integration Index would allow for the measurement of the state and dynamics of regional integration in the post-Soviet arena.
The Index methodology shall be developed in 2008, and the first calculation is scheduled for 2009 (on the basis of 2008 data).
