EDB and UNIDO to support the creation of an agro-food park and implementation of other joint projects in Kyrgyzstan

A joint declaration was signed on the sidelines of the EDB's Annual Meeting by the authorized representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), and the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.
The declaration was signed as part of the EDB Technical Assistance Fund project "Development of a Preliminary Feasibility Study for the Establishment of an Integrated Agro-Food Park in the Kyrgyz Republic." The parties also expressed their intention to expand partnership on other joint projects in Kyrgyzstan implemented under the UNIDO Programme for Country Partnership (PCP) for the Kyrgyz Republic 2025–2029.
The EDB approved the allocation of US $370,500 for the project financing.
The document was signed by Nurlan Akmatov, EDB Director for the Kyrgyz Republic; Zhanybek Ybraiym Uulu, UNIDO Country Representative in Kyrgyzstan; and Asylbek Satyvaldiev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
