Reviews and analytics of the Eurasian Development Bank on public-private partnership

EDB PPP Digest

Public-private partnership is used across all EDB member states as a tool that helps governments attract private capital, draw on the expertise of the private sector and allocate risks in projects to build new or upgrade existing infrastructure, in order to improve access to transport, healthcare, education, energy and utility services while at the same time stimulating economic growth and raising the well-being of the population.

The national PPP markets of the Bank’s member states are rich in developments related to the rollout of PPP project activity, the development of the institutional and legal PPP environment, and the instruments and conditions for financing PPP projects. Many of the PPP events being held are largely common to all EDB member states. The EDB serves as a platform for interaction between the national PPP centres of the member states, the authorities and organisations responsible for PPP, investors and lenders, and the PPP expert community, enabling the exchange of views and experience across the full range of pressing issues on each country’s national PPP agenda and the formation of a common Eurasian PPP agenda. We are pleased to present a new PPP initiative of the Bank — a news digest on PPP across the Eurasian space. This material is intended to cover and disseminate PPP news both within and beyond the EDB in order to improve the availability of information and awareness of PPP among governments and the investment, banking and expert PPP communities.

The PPP Digest covers news across the Eurasian space in the sections “Regulation. Institutions. Standards”, “Markets. Projects” and “Key events”, as well as international news in the section “Interviews. Opinions. Partner news”.
